“Project Pitch It”, the show where local entrepreneurs and their ideas are put to the ultimate test. Each week, three aspiring — and often inspiring — local entrepreneurs get the chance to pitch their innovative new ideas to a panel of area business moguls. These successful self-made millionaires then pepper the entrepreneurs with questions, assess the potential of each idea and finally present awards with a total value of nearly $30,000 designed to help each entrepreneur move their business to the next step. The awards range from free tuition for mentoring and office space at Cardinal Stritch University, a business dinner with the Brightstar Foundation or $10,000 cash.

It all started with a bold decision by a do-it-yourselfer with a perfectionist bent. In other words, when Dave decided to paint his den bright red. Soon enough, Dave was seeing red. Too much of it, in fact. Tape after tape, try after try, he couldn’t seem to keep the red paint from encroaching onto his white ceiling. Applying his engineering background, he examined the problem more closely. And he came to realize that the challenge wasn’t the tape. It was, and always will be, the surface. Paint bleeds through because tape can’t fill the gaps created by surface texture. So Dave set out to develop a product that could form a more complete barrier. In 2013, Physical Therapy of Milwaukee was established to provide Milwaukee residents with the first English and Spanish-speaking physical therapy clinic. Beginning with only two employees, PTM has expanded its team and performed over 4,000 physical therapy visits. In addition to rehabilitation services, PTM is also involved within Milwaukee community and strives to promote healthy lifestyles. PTM has participated in Día de la Mujer Latina, an annual event offering cancer prevention resources to low-income Hispanic women, the American Heart Association’s annual Heart Walk, and many more community events. PTM staff regularly visits senior living communities and local schools to educate others on safe lifting techniques and injury rehabilitation.
